A busy weekend indeed

Well this weekend was one to remember.

Friday night we drove down to Orere Point Beach to spend the night at a Bach booked for Lenny's 38th Birthday.  It was quite nice getting out of the hustle and bustle of Auckland and head down to a tranquil little beach spot where we could just let our hair down. The Bach had a piano which our little maestro couldn't get enough of which reiterated to us that we REALLY need to get him into some music classes soon. He loves any kind of musical instrument and we really want to hone in on that interest and develop that skill. Anyway, we could only spend one night at the Bach and headed back to Auckland the next day.

Here are some pics of the night away:

Once we got back into Auckland I had to rush to get ready for our friend Helen's Hens Do. Helen & Adam are getting married on April 5th, Easter Sunday at Waiheke. So Saturday night she got a few of her friends together to celebrate her last few days of singledom. It was a lovely evening with great company at Vivace Restaurant in Auckland's High Street.

We played a game where we had to anonymously write down a memory or funny story about Helen and if she correctly guessed who had written it down, that person was to wear something silly. These are the ladies who were caught out and we got them to take a group photo.

This is a photo of the entire group sitting down to dinner. The waiter got in on the action! LOL!

The Bride to be

All in all it was a really good, fun-filled weekend and well, at 22 weeks pregnant, I'm glad it's over. I'm knackered after that!

Baby number 2, Gender revealed

Well well well... What can I say? We are super stoked that we are having another baby boy. Went for my 20 weeks scan today and without hesitation I asked to be told the gender if it was possible. Needless to say he made it quite known he is a boy by flashing his goods the whole time.

I can't find the words to describe how we feel. Cameron couldn't make this scan because of work commitments so I had to call as soon as I was done.

When we first got pregnant we were both convinced we were having a girl, but as this pregnancy progressed I realised more and more that there were too many similarities between this pregnancy and my pregnancy with Darian. Morning sickness gone by the second trimester, similar aches and pains, similar carrying and kicks in the same place! Can you believe it! I literally feel the kicks exactly the same place Darian kicked me all through my pregnancy with him.

Baby is very healthy and strong. Developing well and the sonographer was extremely happy with what she saw. Beautiful healthy heart beat, 10 toes & fingers, beautifuy developed brain and good strong bones! I couldn't be happier!

He even lays the same way his father and brother lay, with their hand behind this head. Very cute! And just like Darian one leg was up and the other crossed under him!

This time round they gave us a disc with all the pics so at least Cameron can get to see it as though he was there.

Can't wait for our little boy to arrive! Now to think of boys names!
